Tag Day

Tag Day is an important athlete-driven fundraiser of the year.

On Tag Day, athletes (transported by athlete drivers and volunteer parents) walk door-to-door in our local neighborhoods. We need the support of all Riverside families as rowing is considered and tier 3 sport which means we receive no LCPS funds, that we rely on donations to thrive.

We invite you to learn more about Riverside Crew and its members by clicking play on the video to the right.

This season we have over 80 enthusiastic rowers and coxswains on the team. Your support helps then access essential equipment, training, and opportunities to compete at higher levels.

Every donation propels us closer to our goals, ensuring our crew team can thrive and excel.

We are a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) and all donations are full tax-deductible. EIN: 84-4096919

$1500

Support an athlete to row.

Donations will allow our team to expand offerings to those in need.

$500

Adding boats to our fleet.

Your $500 gift helps us afford a new boat to keep us competitive. New 8 person boats cost about $45,000. We take pride in our fleet to ensure our boats last for years to come.

$300

Downstream without a paddle.

A $300 gift helps purchase one new sweep oar (we need 8 in our 8 person boats). Our growing team needs LOTS of oars.

$250

Help our coaches keep up.

Our coaches ride along the athletes for training and safety on the water. Help our coaches keep up with a gift towards engine maintenance and repairs for launch motors and helps us save for the purchase of new motors.

$150

One seat or two pairs of shoes.

Each boat contains sliding seats and a pair of shoes for each rower bolted to a foot plate. A gift of $150 allows the team to purchase a new seat or two new pairs of shoes for a boat.

$100

Support a coxswain.

A coxswain’s commands not only steer to boat but help the rowers push past the pain barrier and keep pulling when every muscle fiber tells them to stop. Coxswains keep the boat going straight and oars swinging in sync.

$50

Site maintenance at Algonkian.

A gift of $50 helps cover the cost of lawn and trail maintenance around the area where our boats are stored.

$25

Keep our gas tanks full.

The team must cover all costs even for gas in the launch boats. $25 covers the cost of launch expenses for a week of practices.
